Jill T. Slomski, MBA.
Jill Slomski is a founding partner of Niche and a nationally recognized speaker, executive coach, and business consultant. She and her team specialize in empowering Financial Advisors and business leaders to achieve their full potential.
A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jill earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a minor in Educational Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Gannon University. In 2012, Jill partnered with her daughter, Kaitlyn, and the two have built Niche into an industry leader by helping clients develop professionally through Strategic Planning, Personal Branding, Team Building, and Coaching.
Known for her authentic, personalized approach, Jill helps clients clearly communicate their values, grow their businesses, and become their best selves—both in and outside the office. Niche Team has earned recognition as a top coaching firm for Financial Advisors in the United States and holds multiple preferred partner distinctions.
Bringing her nearly four decades of experience in organizational development, Jill welcomes working with individuals who are committed to growth, eager to learn, and ready to elevate their careers. Outside of her professional life, Jill is an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan, enjoys traveling, and treasures time spent with friends, family, and her Golden Retriever, Murphy.

Kaitlyn S. Nelson, MBA.
Kaitlyn Nelson is a founding partner of Niche Team, LLC, which she launched alongside her mom, Jill. For nearly fifteen years, they’ve developed custom curriculum and coaching solutions tailored to the unique needs of Financial Advisors.
Kait earned her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Advertising from Mercyhurst University and later completed her MBA at Gannon University in 2010. As Niche has grown, so has Kait’s role—evolving from administrative support to her current focus in Development and Coaching.
She thrives on helping Financial Advisors fine-tune their office operations, whether the challenge is HR-related or process-driven. Kait believes that building a solid foundation and streamlining systems boosts confidence across the entire team—and she helps Advisors achieve that every day.
In addition to one-on-one coaching, Kait is passionate about team-building events for businesses of all sizes. She affectionately refers to these workshops as “professional summer camp,” thanks to their energy, collaboration, and personal growth.
Kait lives in Fairview, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Eli—also a Financial Advisor—and their two children, Maddie and Teddy. The family loves to travel, but most weekends you’ll find them in spirit wear, cheering on their kids from the sidelines.
Tara Heglund, MS, RN.
Tara brings a dynamic blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and a lifelong commitment to helping others to her role as Manager of Education and Operations at Niche. Since joining the company in 2023, she has been instrumental in streamlining processes, developing impactful educational initiatives, and advancing operational excellence across the organization.
With a strong foundation in education, Tara is passionate about empowering teams and fostering environments where people can learn, grow, and thrive. Her background has shaped her into an adaptable leader with a talent for translating complex ideas into practical, results-driven strategies that propel organizational success.
Before joining Niche, Tara spent two decades in the nursing field, most recently serving as a nurse educator, where she facilitated orientation and professional development for a large health system. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Education.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Dennis, and two young children, Jackson and Evelyn. She also enjoys spending time in nature or unwinding with a good book—especially historical fiction and beach reads.
