When working with clients, we spend time discussing their digital presence and the strategies behind enhancing it to make it work best for their businesses.
In a nutshell, we take a three-pronged approach to help convey value and engage with current and prospective clients by focusing on: your website, your LinkedIn profile, and your Facebook page.
To make it as simple as possible (because the world of social media can be extremely overwhelming), we use an analogy of various dress codes: a website is like a formal suit, LinkedIn is business casual, and Facebook is as though an invitation to a picnic stated “come as you are” (in a compliance friendly way, of course!).
Below are some quick tips to update your "digital wardrobe," of sorts:
- Website: Customize your background photo, be sure that you have a current full color head shot, and create a bio that engages people and explains your process and passion for your career.
- LinkedIn: Follow the same suggestions from above and, in addition, be sure that your contact information is accurate.
- Facebook: Use the same suggestions for your website and LinkedIn and include images of the interior and exterior of your offices to show people where you work.
Note: all of your head shots should be the same, or from the same series, for easy recognition!
For those of you who don’t think that social media is necessary, consider this fact: 90% of affluent Americans are on social media every day looking for products and services that they need.
Our clients are experiencing tremendous results from our social media strategy. Don’t talk yourself out of using this impactful promotional tool.
Make it a great week!
